Au cœur d’une terre lointaine à l’écart des humains vit Maquia, une jeune fille issue d’un peuple dont la vie s’étire sur des siècles, les Iorph. Maquia a toujours rêvé d’explorer au-delà de son univers. Cependant, quand son village paisible est assailli par des humains, attirés par le mythe de la longévité des Iorph, tout change radicalement pour elle. Au cœur de ce tumulte, Maquia se retrouve désormais seule, accompagnée seulement d’un nourrisson humain abandonné qu’elle rencontre.

Sans repères dans ce monde inconnu, elle décide d’élever cet enfant, avec l’intention de le protéger coûte que coûte. Tout en dissimulant sa véritable nature, elle brave les défis de la maternité et découvre, au fil des jours, les nuances de l’existence humaine. Dans sa quête, Maquia expérimente un tourbillon d’émotions, allant de l’amour maternel à la douleur de la perte, tout en confrontant la cruelle éphémérité du temps qui passe chez les humains.

In the heart of a distant land away from humans, lives Maquia, a young girl from a tribe whose life spans centuries named the Iorph. Maquia has always dreamt of exploring beyond her world. However, when her peaceful village is attacked by humans, drawn by the myth of the Iorph’s longevity, everything changes dramatically for her. Amidst this turmoil, Maquia now finds herself alone, only accompanied by an abandoned human infant she encounters.

Lost in this unfamiliar world, she decides to raise this child, with the intention of protecting him at all costs. While concealing her true nature, she faces the challenges of motherhood and discovers, over the days, the nuances of human existence. On her journey, Maquia experiences a whirlwind of emotions, ranging from maternal love to the pain of loss, while confronting the cruel ephemerality of time in human lives.
