Bocchi est une ado très anxieuse et asociale aspirant à se faire des amis à l’aide de son talent pour la guitare. Un jour, elle rencontre la batteuse extravertie Nijika, qui l’invite à rejoindre son groupe “Kessoku Band” comptant parmi ses membres la bassiste la plus chill du monde, Ryou, ainsi que la chanteuse et guitariste ayant quitté le groupe peu de temps auparavant, Kita. Malgré un premier concert quelque peu décevant, les quatre membres du groupe trouvent en elles une passion pour s’améliorer en tant que musiciennes, le tout en profitant de leur jeunesse fugace d’étudiantes. 

Entre son animation soignée et qui sait se montrer délirante pendant les crises d’angoisse de Bocchi, son humour, ainsi que ses très bons morceaux de rock, “Bocchi the Rock !” est un anime maîtrisant parfaitement tout ce qu’il entreprend pour vous offrir une expérience de visionnage inoubliable.

Bocchi is a lonely and socially anxious teenager who yearns to make friends with the help of her talent for the guitar. One day she encounters the outgoing drummer Nijika, who invites her to join her band « Kessoku Band », which includes the world’s chillest bass player Ryou, and the recently departed singer and guitarist Kita. Despite a somewhat disappointing first concert, the four members of the band find in themselves a passion to improve as musicians, all while enjoying their fleeting youth as high school students. 

Between its carefully crafted animation that knows how to be delirious during Bocchi’s anxiety attacks, its humour, as well as its great rock songs, « Bocchi the Rock! » is an anime that perfectly masters everything it undertakes to offer an unforgettable viewing experience.
