Today’s world complex, open-ended and ill-defined challenges, such as climate change and social inequalities, require next-generation engineers to integrate a human and design-centric lens in their practice.
FIELD programs give EPFL students a unique learning opportunity where they can obtain practical, first-hand experience through a project-based approach. Four principles are at the core of FIELD programs: interdisciplinarity, immersion, decentering, and reflexivity.
