Fernando L. Pereira

Computing – High Performance Computing

Fernando L. Pereira is a Software Engineer in the High Performance Computing Section within the Computing Division.

He works on the development of high level APIs, with a focus on Python, for the High-Performance tools developed within the team.

Before joining Blue Brain, Fernando worked at CERN as a sys-admin and software developer for the radiation protection group.

Fernando has a PhD in Telecommunications (indoor positioning field) and a Masters in IT Engineering from the University of Porto, Portugal. He won a best paper award at the indoor positioning and indoor navigation conference 2011 and was consequently invited to write a book chapter on the subject.

A sports fan, Fernando also enjoys photography, world culture and travelling.
