Comparison of dynamic stall models for harmonically pitching airfoils

The aim of this project is to understand, implement, and validate several semi-empirical dynamic stall models. The modelling results are validated by comparing them with measured values. The selected dynamic stall models are the Snel model and Leishman-Beddoes model. The Snel model needs no specific geometric parameter and is easy to implement. The Leishman-Beddoes model is a classic model with a large numbers of documented applications. Result shows that the Snel model and the Leishman-Beddoes model both predict well the force development during dynamic stall.
