Measurement and control of the operation conditions of SHARX

The goal of this project was to measure and control automatically the flow speed of the SHARX water channel and measure the water temperature for accurate Reynolds number determination. A Pitot tube was built using two small digital pressure and temperature sensors and 3D-printing technology. An analogue communication with the pump drive enables the control of the flow speed remotely. An Arduino Uno board was used to link the Pitot tube with the pump and the computer. Finally, a user interface was built with Matlab Appdesigner to make the system user friendly.
