The Peripheral Systems Lab creates and explores new paradigms in fields related to color imaging and media servers. The main focus is directed towards novel imaging topics such as spectral color prediction models, artistic imaging, and creation and modellization of moiré phenomena. The theory finds applications in various fields, from special print reproduction techniques to new anticounterfeiting methods.
As an overview of part of our work, please find here the keynote speech on Color Reproduction and Beyond, given at the Color Imaging Conference (CIC), in 2013.
Due to the retirement of Prof. R.D. Hersch, the laboratory is officially closed.
