Hydraulic Hall

The hall covers 2 levels with a total area of 1775 m2. The channels and models are supplied in a closed circuit from an 800 m3 basin, via 9 pumps connected to interconnectable circuits. A tank of 100 m3 is available for tests involving pollution by sediments, dyes or other additives. It is served by an independent circuit. A volumetric tap tank is used to calibrate electromagnetic flow meters mounted on circuits. A series of glass channels with a constant or adjustable slope completes the laboratory’s fixed equipment.

A computer controls the operation of each circuit and executes requests made on mobile control desks. Each circuit can also be controlled from the control room, where information useful for regulation is gathered.
