Welcome to the DCS group

Our research focuses on complex control systems, which are enabled by the growing availability of sensing, actuation, and communication technologies. Local sources of uncertainty, coupling between local units, and structural changes can compromise the overall system reliability and generate dangerous behaviors.
Our research combines tools from control theory, optimization, and machine learning to make next-generation control system more reliable, predictable, and safe by design. Ultimately, we aim at contributing to the development of dependable and autonomous systems, where control and decision-making layers self adapt to changes in the internal dynamics and the surrounding environment.
