History

In 1970, the engineering branch of the University of Lausanne became the official French speaking Swiss Federal Institute of Technology. Six years later, a new campus was established just outside the city of Lausanne incorporating numerous laboratories and advanced facilities. Among these laboratories was the “Laboratoire de Thermique Appliquée et de Turbomachines” (LTT), a modern and extensive laboratory for thermal turbomachinery. The laboratory staff has been working on state of the art turbomachinery issues for more than 35 years. In 2010, LTT has been renamed to Group of Thermal Turbomachienry (GTT) lead by Dr. Peter Ott.
