SCIENTIST AND LECTURER
Patricia Guaita is an architect, teacher and researcher. She is currently Head of the “Tectonic Innovations” in the ALICE laboratory at EPFL. Since 2013, she is the director an initiator of the Open City Research Platform at the Open City in Valparaiso. She is co-editor of Building Cultures Valparaiso (Routledge/EPFL Press). She is also leading with Raffael Baur a research on the reinforced concrete construction methods developed by Brazilian Architect Lelé in collaboration with the EPFL Structural Concrete Laboratory, and the FAUFBA in Salvador de Bahia. She studied in Madrid and Venice and received her architecture degree from the ETSAM in Madrid.
