ACCES Visualization Contest

The activities of the ACCES community are not only important for their practical aspects but also for their diverse array of visual content that is both informative and aesthetic in nature. Computed-generated visualization of scientific and engineering data, whether originating from numerical simulation or experimentation, can convey important technical information but also reveal original and sometimes surprising visual aspects. The ACCES Visualization Contest is a biennial event that is open to all students and post-docs within the Ecole Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL). The contest is aimed at fostering interest in the use of visualization by encouraging the insightful and visually-engaging presentation of specific themes involving scientific and engineering data. The theme of the 2017 ACCES Visualization Contest is Computational Thinking, which is a fundamental ingredient of Computational Engineering. Past contest entries are displayed in the ACCES Visualization Gallery on this web site.
The ACCES Visualization Contest is sponsored by the NCCR-MARVEL.
