EDME Applications – FAQ

They are not obligatory, but you must be aware that all courses are held in English and that an excellent level of English is required for your thesis work.

You will normally get an answer within 3-6 weeks after the application deadline.

Once you have received an e-mail saying that you are eligible, you have 12 month to find a thesis director and a research assistantship in a lab. Your admission becomes definitive once you have found the thesis director as well as a research assistantship position.

There are different possibilities. You may contact directly one of the program’s thesis directors (you will find the complete list on our website) to check if he has got any open positions in his lab and if he would be interested in working with you. You may also check the website of the human resources department where you find open PhD positions. It may also be that you will be contacted of one of our thesis directors because he is interested in hiring you after having seen your application dossier.
