Following the selection of the candidates by the doctoral programmes committees, EPFL professors interested in supervising an EPFLinnovators thesis conduct interviews with the shortlisted candidates and submit a project proposal to the Office of the Programme before May 1st (17:00 CET)!
The thesis director and the potential co-director from the non-academic sector conduct an interview with the EPFLinnovators’ candidate. After the meeting, an interview report must be submitted, explaining whether the match was successful or not.
If a match is found, a 3-page thesis project proposal including a secondment in a non-academic partner should be submitted with the interview report before May 1, 2019 (17:00 CET) to the EPFLinnovators Office of the Programme ([email protected]).
All candidate-project matches are submitted to the members of the Intersectoral Excellence Committee (IEC) for evaluation. The IEC makes a final ranking and selects the best candidates, with the approval of the IEC President. For the Call 3, the list of the 15 selected fellows will be announced in July 2019.
