Build your biosensor

SENSUS

SensUs is an international student competition on medical biosensors. Every year since 2017, a team of EPFL students has been training and participating in the competition, coached by Prof. Renaud and his LMIS4 team.

During the 2019 SensUs session, students from around the world are competing to build a biosensor that measures the blood level of adalimumab, a biological drug used to treat rheumatoid arthritis. All teams will present their biosensors on August 30 at the SensUs Innovation Days at the University of Eindhoven in the Netherlands. Each biosensor will be evaluated according to several criteria, such as analytical performance, creativity and industrialization potential, by representatives from academia, industry and health.
