Walking on the Jura ridges

This two-day hike along the Jura Crest Trail offers a chance to slow down, enjoy fresh air, and explore one of Switzerland’s most beautiful natural landscapes. We will walk stages 14 and 15 of this historic trail, waymarked since 1905, crossing forests, alpine pastures, and wide open viewpoints between Lake Joux and the Jura summits.
The route starts in the village of Le Pont, on the shores of Lake Joux, continues to the Marchairuz Pass, and includes the ascent of Mont Tendre, the highest point of the Swiss Jura at 1,679 meters. From the summit, hikers are rewarded with views over Lake Geneva, the Alps, and, in clear weather, Mont Blanc. The night will be spent at the Hôtel du Marchairuz in shared dormitory accommodation, with dinner and breakfast included, in a simple and friendly atmosphere.
