Chaplaincy, in short

Spiritual care services, or “chaplaincy” as we traditionally say, is a joint ecumenical service of UNIL, EPFL and the catholic and protestant churches of the canton Vaud.

Chaplains are available for the university community in its entirety: believers of different religious traditions, spiritual seekers, free thinkers, atheists,… – students, staff members and professors alike.

Chaplains ensure a spiritual presence based on the Judeo-Christian tradition and offer various activities which stimulate dialogue, reflection, meeting together, and action, while respecting one another’s convictions.

Also offering time to listen, the chaplains are available for personalised support, adapted to the needs of anyone who so desires.

NOTE: We offer different activities where you are most welcome. Unfortunately, many are basically in French, but translation – or translators – is (almost) always a possibility.
