Activation of the VoiceCall feature

  • Open your browser (Chrome, Firefox or any other web browser). 
  • Log in with your EPFL credentials (you may need to verify your identity with your Authenticator app).
  • Once you’ve logged in, select the Security Info menu in the left panel or click on the Update Info link in the Security Information box (see image below).
  • Click on “Add sign-in method” (see image below). 
  • Select the “Office phone” method. 
  • Choose Switzerland (+41) as the country and then enter your phone number, preferably your EPFL landline. 

For validating VoiceCall authentication: 

  • After you enter your credentials on the login page, Microsoft Entra ID will ask you to confirm your second authentication factor using the Authenticator app. To change this, click on “I can’t use my Authenticator app right now” or “Sign in another way” (see image below).
  • You will then be prompted to select another method to verify your identity. Choose “Call” (see image below). 
  • You will receive a call from Microsoft on your device and/or Jabber app from the following number: +1 (855) 330-8653 
  • Press the # key on your phone’s keypad when prompted to verify your identity and confirm your login. 

Note: The language of the VoiceCall function is determined by your internet browser’s language settings.
