EPFL applies the new salary system (NSS), which takes into account the job profiles, competencies and years of experience. For units, contact your human resources manager before proposing a salary.

New Salary System (NSS)

The ETH Board launched a new salary system in 2006. A salary grid representing 15 echelons covering scientific, support (administrative, technical and IT) and management positions is applicable.

Salary scale for PhD students and post-doctoral students

A specific salary scale for doctoral, post-doctoral assistants as well as scientific collaborators is applicable.
