WeRobotics

Jürg Germann is the Head of Engineering at WeRobotics. WeRobotics is a Swiss-based organization dedicated to the use of robotics for social good. They have been working on smart release technology extensively since 2016 and deployed disease-reducing mosquitoes with greater precision, speed and efficiency than ever before. This has allowed public health experts to scale their efforts and reduce the incidence of mosquito-borne diseases such as Dengue and Zika. They have actively tested and successfully applied our release technology in Brazil and the South Pacific.

Chris Ballard

Chris Ballard has been involved with drone since 2012. He organised and ran his first drone race in 2014, followed by Australia’s first state level racing series shortly after. In 2016 he invented giant drone racing as a way to improve the spectator and live broadcasting experience for the drone racing sport. In 2018 Chris was race director of the first FAI drone racing world championship, along with organising, hosting and running the Spanish 2018 drone racing world cup. Since then, Ballard has been involved in professionalising the drone racing industry, with an emphasis improving and raising the standard for live spectators and live  broadcast.
