The Transnational Red Sea Center (TRSC), hosted at the Ecole Polytechnique Federal of Lausanne (EPFL, Switzerland), aims at supporting science-based conservation of Red Sea coral reefs at a regional level, through a Science for Diplomacy and Diplomacy for Science approach. In collaboration with regional stakeholders, the TRSC conducts research on the exceptional resilience of local reefs in the face of environmental changes, develops innovative monitoring technologies, and facilitates their transfer to local collaborators to enhance standardized, scalable monitoring efforts across the region.
Participants will be able to ask questions during the event via the SpeakUp application.
The event will be recorded for later broadcast on the EPFL Events YouTube channel.
This event runs in parallel with the exhibition Red Sea corals – Bridging science & diplomacy in favor of the « Reefs of Hope ».
