Located in the northern part of the ArtLab building, open to the Esplanade, the Datasquare presents a long-term exhibition on the theme of big data.
The exhibition presents two projects of the School:
- The Blue Brain Project
which seeks to simulate the human brain based on a large collection of neurobiological and clinical data. - The Venice Time Machine
which aims to reconstruct nearly 1,000 years of Venice’s history through the digitization of more than 80 km of ancient manuscripts preserved in the Venetian State Archives and other historical sources.
Also in this exhibition, a platform provides access to EPFL data such as: School population, academic networks, international scientific collaborations…
