The Institute of Electrical and Micro Engineering and the Institute of Physics are soliciting applications for a faculty position in the field of Magnetic Resonance Imaging at any rank (tenure-track Assistant Professor, or Associate Professor, or Full Professor).
We seek top-level applicants with research interests in the broad area of Magnetic Resonance Imaging physics and/or technology. Topics of interest include, but are not limited to:
(i) MR sequence design,
(ii) image acquisition/reconstruction/analysis,
(iii) quantitative imaging,
(iv) ultra-high or ultra-low field MRI,
(v) novel structural and functional contrast mechanisms,
(vi) innovative MR hardware design.
We seek candidates with an outstanding research record, a strong commitment to excellence in teaching at the undergraduate and graduate levels, and who will be proactive members of the Electrical Engineering and Physics communities. Candidates with strong academic background, but with few years of experience in industry are also welcome.
This new position is closely linked with the CIBM Centre for Biomedical Imaging (www.cibm.ch). Applicants should demonstrate a potential for strong and constructive collaborations with a large community of scientific and clinical research partners, as well as for the management of large MR platforms.
As a faculty member of the School of Engineering and/or of the School of Basic Sciences, the successful candidate will be expected as well, to initiate and develop an independent and creative research program. Internationally competitive salaries, start-up resources, and benefits are offered.
