Students in the master Energy Management and Sustainability have a background in engineering (electrical, mechanical, micro-technical, environmental, and civil engineering, applied physics) or architecture, with a Bachelor degree from EPFL, ETH Zurich or renowned foreign institutions. During their Master, they follow a multi-disciplinary curriculum, built around the theme of energy management and sustainability, completed by a broad range of classes in management and entrepreneurship. This new generation of engineers is trained to work in teams and to understand and work on complex systems such as smart power grids, water distribution networks, services related to the environment, and electronic systems to manage power consumption. Their profile makes them well suited to handle multidisciplinary projects where any form of energy management is of prime importance, optimizing its use while minimizing negative impacts on society.
